The Challenge
As official world cup sponsors, Sony were looking for a celebration here in New Zealand to build hype around the launch of the FIFA world cup, and to create some buzz and PR around their part as one of the presenting sponsors of the tournament.
What we delivered
A glamorous and ritzy affair was staged at one of Auckland’s highest profile venues, the Hilton hotel. Situated right on the waterfront, the great views of Bellini were enjoyed by trade guests, suppliers, media and friends of the brand. Using state of the art contributions from Sony including a 15 foot screen with full HD projector (something that must be seen to be believed!), and New Zealand’s first 3D viewing lounge.
Brand Events negotiated a package on a tight budget, that delivered a high quality package to the clients, and thanks must be paid to our friends at the Hilton. A variety of music filled the early evening, and a special performance from Grayson Cooper was the feature later in the evening. Grayson is a champion football skills performer, and boy he did not disappoint.
Due to the lateness of the matches from overseas there was a particular challenge to get people to stay until match time, but none the less many people stayed and enjoyed the atmosphere, and of course the big game.
